The one-week funeral memorial of the late Christian Atsu was held yesterday at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf at East Legon.
The event has been graced by numerous football celebrities, actors, actresses, musicians, and dignitaries, including GFA executives, previous coaches, and presidential contenders.
The announcement that the late player would have his last funeral rites observed on March 17, 2023, was issued while the celebration was still in place.
Atsu will be buried in a highly appropriate location by having his funeral on the state house’s forecourt.
Ghanaians have been told by President Akufo-Addo that the government will take all necessary steps to ensure that the football player has a “dignified exit.”

Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association, led the team that visited him to formally inform him of the terrible passing of the footballer.
