GWCL to cut water supply to these areas(Check them out)

The Tema Booster Station will be shut down for 48 hours on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 for planned maintenance work, according to a statement from the management of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL).

This will result in a disruption in water service to some areas of the Greater Accra Region.

This would make it possible for GWCL engineers to install new machinery, such as new heavy-duty pumps at the Tema Booster Station to replace the 40-year-old pumps, according to a statement released by the company on Monday.

The GWCL predicts that the additional pumps will increase pressures and improve water distribution volumes in that enclave.

The maintenance work is anticipated to be finished on December 9th, 2022.

All of Tema’s communities, Industrial Area, Baatsonaa, Coca-Cola, Kasapreko, Lashibi, Klagoon, Sakumono, Ashaiman, Adjei-Kojo, Borteyeman, and Santoe are among the impacted locations.

Trassaco, Afresco Estate, Manet Court, Regimanuel Estates, O’Reily Senior High School, Airport Hills, Martey Tsuru, and neighboring communities are some others.

“As a result, GWCL management rented water tankers to supply hospitals and schools with water. Customers in the impacted areas are urged to save water while it is currently flowing by storing part of it.

The management of GWCL wishes to let the public know that plans have been made to ensure that the engineers working on the project will work around the clock and won’t leave the project site until the work is completely finished.

The management also assures the public that supply will resume as soon as the mission is completed.

Management regrets the inconvenience this shutdown will cause the general public despite the fact that the project is in the best interests of our devoted customers, the statement said.
