There is evidence connecting Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah’s arrest and handcuffing at the Police Hospital and Cantonments Police Station to a prophet’s birthday celebration who had a grudge against the man of God.

According to reports, a competing pastor and the personal prophet of the Inspector General of Police, Rev. Owusu Bempah, was being held hostage at the time of Rev. Kusi Boateng’s arrest and detention. Rev. Boateng was reportedly celebrating his birthday at the time.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and the IGP himself attended the celebration, but they all partied instead of answering the call of the man of God.

According to rumors, Rev. Kusi Boateng used the Jubilee to backbite his way to political favors and prophesied to anybody who would listen. He purportedly foretold Dampare’s nomination as IGP and urged President Akufo-Addo to carry it out.

Rev. Owusu Bempah and Rev. Kusi Boateng grew enmities after the latter replaced the former in the NPP’s zones of influence.
