The High Court “B” Tema has sentenced Afia Schwarzenegger to 10 days in jail for disrespecting Ghanaian politician Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi.
TV anchor Nana Ama McBrown and her panelists Kwame A Plus and Mr Logic were found guilty of contempt of court in a judgment that was handed down on Thursday, December 1, 2022.
The three have been fined GHC180,000 (GHC60,000 each) for publicly discussing a lawsuit made against Afia on United Showbiz in July. Each of them has been assessed 5,000 penalty units.

The Despite Media Group, which owns UTV, is managed by Dr. Fadda Dickson, who was found not guilty and released by the court.
His official apology to Chairman Wontumi in a letter that was broadcast on UTV and then posted on the media outlet’s different social media channels was the basis for his acquittal.
Chairman Wontumi declined to reply in spite of Fadda Dickson’s apologies on behalf of Despite Media with the intention of initiating a contempt complaint.
Afia Schwar, who is currently traveling to Turkey for a hair transplant treatment, has a bench warrant out for her arrest.
