The controversial socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has prayed for divine intervention to solve the nation’s many issues, especially those related to the National Cathedral.
She mentioned her observations about the project’s “dilapidated” state—it is presently under construction—while making this request.
Afia claimed that the Cathedral, which President Akufo-Addo had vowed to construct as a fulfilment of his oath to God, had now become what she called a “manhole.”

Afia Schwarzenegger, who was observed at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in America, remarked while praying in a humorous manner,
“God, have mercy on us. This is the cathedral Nana Addo wants to build for Ghana that has turned into a manhole. Lord, as I have knelt before you, have mercy on me. if you exempt me, it will be difficult for Ghana which I don’t want to happen. I am also praying for former President, the late John Evans Atta-Mills as well as John Dramani Mahama. Help us [Ghanaians] to build the cathedral.”
In the meantime, the National Cathedral project has come to a standstill when the project’s overseeing board revealed that delays were caused by financial difficulties.
There are rumours that the Cathedral is currently in poor condition, which has led to outbursts from online users.

Many Ghanaians believe that the project is a complete waste of public funds and are pushing for its termination.
