The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman Wontumi has stated that the Black Stars can only reach the final of the World Cup if current Vice President Dr Bawumia is voted as President in the 2024 Elections.
Speaking during an interview, he noted that the Vice President who will lead the NPP as Flagbearer for the 2024 elections is the best person to make sports in the country the best.
According to him, when the NPP came into power, the country had only two astroturfs but thanks to Dr Bawumia Ghana can now boast of over 180 astroturfs across the country.

He continued by saying Dr Bawumia loves sports and as such he will do his possible best to develop sports in the country when he is voted as President and this can lead the Ghana Blackstars to reach the final of the world cup.
“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is an action man. He is going to create employment for the youth. He is the brain behind NABCO, which was meant to help alleviate youth unemployment,” Chairman Wontumi said.
“It’s almost like when you go to every district, there are astroturfs; when we came to power, there were only two, but now there are about 180 nationwide.
“He loves sports and will do everything to develop the sport, and I am very confident we will get the world’s best from this country under his leadership. We will reach the final of the World Cup under his leadership. He will do miracles with sports.”
