Gunshots have been heard in Tamale as armed police officers battle Lamashegu youngsters in the city.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident began when a police patrol team allegedly shot and killed a young guy driving a white Toyota Camry with a DV number plate who fled after being detained by the police.
After the bullet punctured his stomach through the back window of the vehicle, he is said to have died at the hospital.
Two more people were reportedly shot, while others were injured.
