A young man is currently behind bar after he was arrested by police for killing his mother.
Information gathered has it that, the young man identified as Owate Bode allegedly killed his mother for refusing to give him N20,000 equivalent to Ghc 50.
On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the incident took place in the Aleto hamlet of the state’s Eleme Local Government Area.
The man claimed he asked his mother for N20,000 so he could attend a funeral in the neighborhood, but the woman did not respond as he had hoped.

After taking N20,000 out of “his account,” he claimed that his mother only handed him N10,000, which he insisted was insufficient.
However, when the youngster grabbed up a hoe and smacked his mother in the head, things spiraled out of hand. The woman sank into a pool of blood after having her head torn open. She expired right away.
The victim’s body was then taken to a local morgue, and the suspect was later captured by neighborhood kids and turned over to the police.
Bode, who didn’t seem sorry for killing his mother, claimed to be mentally unwell when questioned. He claimed he decided to “finish” his mother since she had insulted him and refused to give him his money. He went on to say that he wanted to die because he was sick of living.
