The 34th edition of the largest football tournament on the continent, the Africa Cup of Nations, has seen the Black Stars of Ghana arrive in Ivory Coast wearing a vibrantly woven kente.
All three of the Black Stars’ group stage matches will take place in Abijan, where the team is based.
Like Akan tribe royalty, the Black Stars touched the Ivory Coast while adorned in traditional Kente fabric.

The top 24 teams on the continent will compete for titles in the event, which gets underway on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Ghana is one of the nations that is strongly favoured to win the championship.
Ghana is grouped in Group B with Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique.
